Did You Know...You Are a New Creature?

Praise the Lord for this beautiful and glorious day. This is the day that He has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it.

I am so thankful for what the Lord is doing in us and the powerful yet simple revelation He is bringing forth in the minds and hearts of the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit.

Did you know that you are a new creation, a new creature?

You are different than Adam and Eve

In Genesis God created Adam and Eve. He formed them out of the dust of the earth and breathed into them giving them spirit and life. When they disobeyed, and sinned against God they died spiritually. Eventually they died physically.

Then Jesus came and bore the penalty for sin on the cross. If we accept that sacrifice for sin, repent, turn from our wicked ways and begin living for and in Jesus then you are born again.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3 kjv

Once you are born again you become begotten of God through the blood of Jesus. You are now a new creature in Christ Jesus.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 kjv

Adam and Eve were created by God given their own spirit, and blood. But now when we accept Christ our spirits are born a new. We are given the blood of Christ (who has the blood of his Father God) to wash our sins. We have the Holy Spirit of God living in us, joined with our spirit. We are full of God the Father from our blood to our spirit. (One day we will have new glorified eternal bodies just like Jesus). We can be and are one with the Father. This was not the case with Adam and Eve when they were created. We truly are new creatures.

Praise the Lord!

Speaking Like God

Did you know God gave you a voice to speak?
Speak what you ask?

Mark 11:23 says:
"Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.

Speak to your situations which this scripture refers to as a "mountain". For example, if you're dealing with sickness say to that mountain of sickness "sickness, you be removed right now!"

Speak exactly what the word says to every situation and difficulty.
If fear tries to creep up in your mind speak: 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Once you speak it, then set your spirit, and your mind to believe it. Now walk in it. Have faith that God's word is true. The Bible is the word and the principles of God.

He is the Living Almighty God. He has given his word to teach men who is and how to walk in his ways in the earth.

The Centurion man in the book of Matthew watched Jesus speak to the deaf and dumb commanding unclean spirits to be quiet and come out. He heard Jesus speak to the sick and they were healed. So he grabbed hold of the this truth stated in Matthew 8:8...The centurion replied, "Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

All you have to do is just what Jesus did...speak the word over every situation, and believe it and you will see the power of God unleashed in every aspect of your life.Praise God! Talk like the Father. Speaking what is true... by the stripes of Jesus I am healed. God has not given me a spirit of fear but of love, power, and of a sound mind.

You Are Blessed to Bless Others

Did you know you are blessed? Did you know since you are blessed the Lord wants you to be a blessing to someone else?

For You make him to be blessed and a blessing forever; You make him exceedingly glad with the joy of Your presence. Psalms 21:6 amp

Money

If the Lord has blessed you with money then bless someone else. I know people have conflicting views when it comes to giving money away but the word says whoever gives to the poor lends to the Lord. (Proverbs 17:19) So give without worrying about where it's going and know your giving to God.

Talents

If you have been blessed with a God-given talent like singing, acting, dancing, writing, poerty, driving, and so many other things then use that gift to touch someone. Write a poem to a friend or a stranger. Sing a song for the sick and the well. You've been blessed with a gift so bless someone else.

Time

The sacrifice of time is another blessing people like to keep to themselves. The Lord has given us time to be fruitful. Give your time to someone or something that will touch a life. Talk to a loved one who you haven't spoken to in a while. Call a friend to see how their day was. Visit the shut-in. The bible says "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." Matthew 25:40

When you bless others you bless the Lord...what a great honour to Bless God himself.

Handling Sorrow

Life is full of ups and downs. In those times of tragedy one can often feel stranded and possibly even lose the desire to pray.
In the mist of my own sorrow I've struggled to seek the Lord. I've asked myself "how do I form my mouth to utter the words "Father" when my heart is so heavy with grief?"

We aren't alone. Jesus was a man (just like us) of sorrows aquainted with grief. (Isaiah 53:3)
Hebrews 5:7 says Jesus who in the days of his flesh, offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto Him that was able to save him from death...

In the garden of Gasemene Jesus was so sorrowful that he sweat blood; but yet he yielded to the will of Father God. Imagine the weight of his afflication. What you're going through may pale in comparision to what Jesus suffered however, it's not insignificant. It truly matters to the Lord.

Don't forget, God is in the mist of your circumstance. If you want to ask "why", then ask. If you need closure, then pray for closure. The Lord loves you dearly. He's with you through the good and the bad. He is your strong tower. He's the Good Shepard. Jesus carried all things for you on the cross, so cast your cares on the Lord, and live in the mental freedom God has promised. The Lord is with you.

Psalms 121

Unity with God

The concept of unity is powerful and liberating. God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three but they are One, perfectly joined together.

The Lord used this same concept in humans creating us as spirit, soul and body. He has given us all three but we operate as One.

Believers are many members but we are all the Body of Jesus, God is our Father, and we are led by the Holy Spirit. Because we are hidden in Christ and apart of his body then we too are adopted into the Trinity of God. (Colossians 3:3)

Husbands and wives are commanded to become one flesh though we are two people. (Matthew 19:5) As we are one in the flesh, God is our head and we are led by the Holy Spirit. We are One. Praise the Lord for revealing how we can be One with Him.

Jesus prayed:
I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one--as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. John17:21 NLT

Obeying the Still Small Voice of the Lord

Back in 2011 right before the new year I already knew in my heart some things I wanted to establish in 2012. One of those things was obedience to the voice of the Lord.

I desired to be obedient to EVERYTHING the Lord said to me; from the smallest nudge to take this left turn to the greatest call of ministry. But before I could get to the "ruler over much" part of Matthew 25:23 I knew I needed to learn the "faithful over few" thing first.

So let's speed this story up a bit and jump into the year. Here I am more hungry for the Lord and the things of God than ever before. I desire to hear His voice just for the opportunity to obey. The bible says we have not because we ask not so I wanted to make sure God knew I wanted to hear his voice So I could be obedient in all things.

So here I am in the middle of one of my "seeking the Lord sessions" (my private time with God). I've got my christian music blaring, my hands are raised, and I'm reading my word in between my prayers and praise to God. My sessions with the Lord were great. As I spend more and more time doing this I found that I'm really beginning to hear the Lord's voice; even more clearly than ever before. I'm thinking "this is great". "You want me to sing in front of millions like David...OK...thank you Lord for declaring that in my life". "Oh you want me pray for the nations...OK will do...thank you Father". "You've called me to be prosperous like Jacob and blessed like Job...well amen I receive that". The Lord was truly speaking loud and clear or so I thought.

A few nights ago I was going to bed and I phoned my husband at work one last time before I feel asleep for the night. It was a little after 11 pm and I knew he would be home around 12:45 am. Well tonight I wasn't waiting up so I said my good night and told him I'll see him when he gets home.

At exactly 12:48 am I woke up from my sleep and looked at my cell phone to see what time it was. My bedroom light was still on and my husband wasn't home yet. Something in me said "call Ronnie and check on him". I countered the nudge with "He's probably just running a little late", because it's not odd for him to arrive close to 1:00 am. So with that notion I returned to sleep.

The next morning I'm kissing my hubby goodbye before I head out to work. He groggily tells me that he's so tired. He told me that last night on his way home from work he ran out of gas and had to jog down the highway to a gas station. He later learned that the gas can had a hole in it so when he returned to his car the canister was empty. He finally just had the truck towed to the gas station.

My heart completely sunk. Not only had my DH (dear husband) been out stranded in the middle of the night but I had missed the still small voice of the Lord. I was crushed.

After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
1Kings 19:12

The Lords voice is that quiet nudge that directs you in what you should do. Yes the Lord will minister to you in the music, and give you revelation through the word; but once everything quiets down that's when he has the opportunity to speak to your heart directly without hindrance and noise. That's the voice of the Lord. It's that reminder to do something you've been putting off. It's that gentle voice that kind of pops in our head and we brush off. But don't brush it off, don't explain it away; and definitely don't miss it. Just follow it and He will direct your paths. Practice obeying that voice, the small voice of the Lord.
